M42 bi-metal blade types at a glance
Every metal cutting blade in the catalogue pairs an M42 high-speed steel tooth edge, hardened to Rc 67 to 69, with a flexible spring steel band. The difference between the four types is the tooth form, which sets what each blade cuts best.
Blade types
0 degree rake. General cutting of metals and mild steel, beams and section bundles.
Positive rake. Structural materials, thick-wall tube and stainless steel.
Engineered relief angle. Super alloys, copper, bronze and exotic materials.
Dedicated teeth for tube and profile cutting.
The full comparison, with applications such as H and I beams, U channel, solid rod bundles and cast iron, is in the M42 bi-metal catalogue.
Standard blade sizes
Blade sections are listed as width x thickness, in millimetres and inches. Each type page shows which tooth pitches are made in each width.

Food industry blades
The food section of the catalogue covers butcher bandsaw blades for meat processing. They are made from selected strip steel with a sharp, profile-ground tooth and hardened tips, for clean cuts through fresh or frozen meat and bone in butcher shops and processing plants. Details are on the food industry bandsaw page.

Ordering from the catalogue
Pick the blade type and size, note the pitch and quantity, and send them through the order form. The TFI Co. ordering guide explains how to measure blade length and what to include.
Welded loops
Made to your machine length and ready to fit. Best when you run few machines and want no welding in-house.
Coils
For workshops with their own welder. Coils and larger loop orders count as bulk orders, which get good prices.
We appreciate scheduled orders: a regular monthly or quarterly call-off keeps catalogue blades on your shelf. We also favour planned blade replacement over waiting for breakage, and can help you set a schedule by cutting hours or wear checks.
